Canal Path Walking Tours

Take a stroll down memory lane along the Erie Canal in Palmyra with local historian, Pete Henry, as your guide. See and experience Market Street and Bloody Corners, the shortest street in Palmyra. Walk in the bed of the original Erie Canal and walk over one of the oldest cast iron change bridges in existence. See how an Erie Canal Lock works, visit an old hydro-electric power station, and walk the Erie Canal path over an aqueduct!

A Canal Walk will be held Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 24 and 25, at 11:00 a.m. and will take approximately 1 ½ hours. All tours are FREE and will meet on the sidewalk behind the Information Booth on Main Street.
