Dear Parade Participants: It is our pleasure to invite you to take part in the 2008 Canaltown Days Parade. The Canaltown Days Parade this year will be on Saturday, September 13th at 4:00pm. In order to verify that your group will be attending our parade and for us to accurately introduce your group as it marches past the reviewing stand; please fill out the enclosed announcement form. This form provides us with the desired information about your group essential for parade day and must be returned. Please return this form either by email or regular mail. I can not accept any forms on the day of the parade so please return the form to me as soon as possible. Floats are a very effective means to increase exposure and publicize your organization and as in all parades are very well received. Please get in touch with me for separate float information if you did not receive it in this mailing. |

Last year we began collecting email addresses and plan on communicating via email where ever possible to help save on the ever increasing cost of postage, along with our website at www.palmyracanaltowndays.org. Once we have received your information back whether by email or regular mail we will send out a confirmation email along with parade instructions to the email address that you provide us with. If you do not have an email address please indicate this and we will do our best to get yours out in the mail to you. There will be judging of military color guards during the parade and prizes awarded immediately following the parade at the reviewing stand. Scores and trophies must be picked up and will not be sent to you. Again, please return your Canaltown Days announcement form as soon as possible to ensure a spot in our parade.
