Scheduled Performances

Palmyra Canaltown Days promises to bring you entertainment for your listening (and shopping) pleasure! As has become tradition, opening our festival is the very popular Towpath Volunteers Honor Guard. This fife and drum corps will perform at Palmyra Canaltown Days on Saturday morning at 10:00am. At 10:30pm, the Palmyra Macedon High School Select Choir under the direction of Jill Long, will sing the National Anthem, as well as a few additional selections, in the Village Park Gazebo.

Everyone loves their own local entertainers, and Palmyra Canaltown Days is no different! Palmyra's own, John Denniston, with Eva & the Dog Boys, will play for you for the first time at 11:15 am. Then, from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Lock 52 Ramblers will be back with their Dixieland sounds. F.O.G (Freakin’ Old Guys) will entertain you at 2:30 p.m. right up until parade time, at 4:00 p.m.

Saturday's Main Street pre-parade entertainment will include the Penn Dixie Band from Pennsylvania and the Hit Men will be back to provide the anticipation for our Grand Parade.

Sunday’s opening performance, at 12:00 p.m. will be provided by the Fiddlers of the Genesee, always a favorite! At 1:30 p.m., the Palmyra Canaltown Days introduces Brass Exchange, an eight piece group offering a wide selection of music sure to delight everyone! Entertainment on Sunday also includes Denim & Lace Country Line Dancers, their second time back to Canaltown Days, performing at 1:00 p.m. on Main Street prior to the Horse Drawn Wagon Parade that begins at 2:00 p.m.

The Rose Lummis, a 1953 Mississippi river boat, will be offering rides on the Erie Canal on both Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Tickets may be purchased at the Information Booth or at the boat. There will also be evening haunted canal cruises!

Come and join us - it's going to be a great time!
